Meet Our Speakers

Dr. Beth Johnson has a B.S. from Texas A&M University and a M.S. and DVM from Mississippi State University.� After graduating in 1989, she moved to Kentucky and practiced Mixed Animal Medicine with an emphasis on large animals for 25 years.� In 2013, Dr. Johnson joined the Office of State Veterinarian in KY Department of Agriculture and is currently the Director of Regulatory Field Services.� Her emphasis is on educating veterinarians, producers, and the public about Animal Disease Traceability, Regulatory Diseases, including Zoonotic and Foreign Animal Diseases, and Secure Food Supply programs which include biosecurity. She is a member of AASRP, KVMA and AVMA and is very active in the Kentucky Sheep and Goat Development Office. Beth along with her husband own a farm in central KY and raise beef cattle and Market/Dairy Goats.
