Keith Stein
DVM, DAVDC

Dr. Stein was born in North Carolina and grew up in Tennessee. He attended the University of the South where he obtained his BA in Psychology. He worked as a counselor for a couple of years before attending Auburn University where he obtained his BS in Animal Science (1993) and DVM (1997). After graduation from veterinary school, he worked in private practice for several years before entering a residency in Oral Surgery and Dentistry at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, which he completed in 2004. Since completing his residency, he has owned and managed private specialty practices in Ohio, New Jersey, Maryland, Kentucky, and Tennessee. He is board-certified by the American Veterinary Dental College (Diplomate AVDC) and is a member of the American Veterinary Dental Society, previously serving as a member of the Credentials Committee and chair of the Review & Assessment Examination Committee for the specialty college. He has taught oral surgery and dental techniques to veterinarians from around the world and lectures throughout the country on a variety of dental topics to veterinarians, technicians, breeders and animal owners. He is also a past member of the faculty in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Veterinary Oral Surgery and Dentistry at the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and current dentistry/oral surgery specialist for Vespecon, a virtual based specialty veterinary consultation practice. Dr. Stein is the first veterinarian from the states of Ohio and Tennessee to become a board-certified specialist in Dentistry and Oral Surgery.
