Meet Our Speakers

Dr Lee Jones DVM, MS is a Senior Professional Services Veterinarian with Boehringer-Ingelheim, Duluth, GA. Before joining BI in 2023, he worked with the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in several roles including Tifton Veterinary Diagnostic Lab Field Investigator, UGA Extension Veterinarian, and Associate Professor in the CVM teaching senior veterinary students. His area of expertise included beef production and reproduction including bovine advanced reproduction techniques. Prior to joining UGA in 2010 he practiced beef cattle medicine and reproduction in Nebraska for 12 years. He has served many roles in veterinary and beef cattle organizations including Cattle Health and Wellbeing Committee Chair with Georgia Cattlemen’s Assn and BOD with Nebraska and Georgia VMAs, American Association of Bovine Practitioners, and American Embryo Transfer Assn.



Dr Lee Jones received his DVM from Colorado State University in 1998 and his Masters of Science in Animal Science from UGA in 1987.



Dr Jones and his wife Katy have been married for 38 years and have 3 grown children and 4 grandsons. They raise a small herd of cows in South Georgia and sell beef directly to local customers.
