Meet Our Speakers

Dr. Browne is originally from Istanbul, Turkey. She was an avid horseback rider growing up and never wanted to be anything other than an equine veterinarian. She pursued and undergraduate degree in Biology at Emory University, then attended the University of Tennessee for her veterinarian education. After completing an internship in private practice, Nimet completed a large animal internal medicine residency at Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She was an associate professor in equine internal medicine at North Carolina State University before joining the medicine team at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. Her professional interests include neonatology, sport horse medicine, gastroenterology and public health. It still takes her breath away every time. Outside of work, Dr. Browne enjoys horseback riding and traveling.
