Ron Tessman

Ronald K Tessman was born and grew up in Great Falls, MT. He attended Montana State University in Bozeman, MT first studying Chemical Engineering and then Medical Microbiology before transferring to Washington State University for Veterinary school. Ronald graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Washington State University in 1997, completed a one year internship at Kansas State University in 1998 and completed a combined Large Animal Internal Medicine residency and doctoral program at the University of Missouri. After completing his doctoral program in 2006 he joined Merial in Research and Development, where he was a part of several development programs, concentrating on cattle projects. Shortly after joining Merial he completed the requirements for Preventive Medicine board certification. Dr. Tessman joined Bayer’s North American Clinical Development team in April 2016 and was the Clinical Efficacy Manager for North America Development. Since March 2021, he has been a member of the Elanco Cattle TC team.
