Meet Our Speakers

Dr. Taylor Wickware is a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist at The Animal Eye Institute of Lexington. She has been part of AEI�s team since 2020, completing her specialty ophthalmology internship and three-year residency in comparative ophthalmology with them. She earned her DVM at The Ohio State University and completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship in Nashville before joining The Animal Eye Institute. Since completing her training and starting her ophthalmology career with AEI in 2024, Dr. Wickware is now the medical director of their newest location in Lexington. Dr. Wickware�s interests include ocular manifestations of systemic disease, exotic animal medicine, corneal surgery, and cataract surgery. Outside of work she enjoys cheering for her hometown of Chicago sports teams, wine tasting, crocheting, and painting. She also loves spending time with her Staffordshire Terrier, Gwen and French Bulldog, Irving. She is very excited to be in a new city and has enjoyed exploring the music, food, and antique scenes in Lexington thus far.
