Meet Our Speakers

Dr. Karl Maritato is a board-certified small animal surgeon at MedVet Cincinnati, where he has been a leading member of the team since 2010. A graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, he completed his surgical residency at MedVet Columbus after internships in medicine and surgery.
Dr. Maritato pioneered advanced surgical techniques in the Cincinnati area, including cement-less total hip replacement and minimally invasive arthroscopy. He has performed thousands of orthopedic procedures and helped establish surgery services at both MedVet Cincinnati and Dayton.
He is co-editor of textbooks on locking implant technology and minimally invasive fracture repair, and his clinical interests include neurosurgery, oncologic surgery, and complex orthopedic cases. In addition to publishing research and developing implants, he enjoys gardening and traveling with his wife.
