Meet Our Speakers

Dr. Kathy Gerken received her DVM from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014, followed by a one-year rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Mississippi State University. She completed a residency in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care while getting a Master’s degree at The Ohio State University in 2018. Dr. Gerken is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and is currently the P.B. Griffin Endowed Clinical Associate Professor of the Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care service with the Department of Clinical Sciences. She is passionate about sepsis, professional communications, and environmental emergencies. Dr. Gerken enjoys hiking, building with LEGO, and college football.
