Meet Our Speakers

DeAnna Cotton, MPH, DVM, is the Medical Director and an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Lex-ington. She has been a part of the team since 2016. Dr. Cotton currently is the leading mentor for the Emergency Clinical Mentorship Program at the Lexington hospital. Dr. Cotton is passionate about teaching and having an open learning environment for both her medical and clinical staff. Dr. Cotton loves all aspects of emergency medicine and loves the chaos of a busy shift. Dr. Cotton started working in veterinary clinics in high school and became a licensed veterinary technician while attending college. She attended the University of Kentucky where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters in Public Health degree. Dr. DeAnna Cotton then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her free time she enjoys trail riding with her family, ATV riding, boating, and spending time with her family.
