Meet Our Speakers

Michele Frazer, DVM, DACVIM, DACVECC grew up here in Lexington, Kentucky. She always had a pas-sion for horses and the equine industry, but her desire to be an equine vet didn’t begin until she watched Seattle Slew win the Triple Crown. She received her DVM from Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine, and is a Diplomate American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and Diplomate American College Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. Her professional interests include neonatal medicine and treating/researching Lawsonia intracellularis. Her favorite memory of being a vet also happens to be the first week she spent working here at Hagyard! It was like a dream come true because of the people, horses and great location. Dr. Frazer is a member of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care, the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, AAEP, KVMA, the Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Manager’s Club, and KAEP. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family as well as her love of the arts. She has many pets including horses, llamas, dogs, cats, saltwater fish, rabbits and lizards! It’s no surprise she says she could not live without the bonds we form with our pets!
