Dr. Caitlin DeWilde is the founder of The Social DVM, a consulting firm devoted to helping veterinary professionals learn how to manage and grow their social media, online reputation and marketing strategies. Working with large industry groups and individual practices alike, Caitlin and her team are passionate about translating the “geek speak” to “veterinary speak,” and helping vets reach more clients and pets.
Caitlin is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and a recipient of their Outstanding Young Alumni Award, and also an alum of the AVMA’s Future Leaders Program. She served as medical director for a large AAHA/Fear Free/Cat-Friendly certified hospital in St. Louis before stepping back to focus on her marketing passion. Today, she divides her time between practice, consulting, and writing. She is the author of a new book, “Social Media and Marketing for Veterinary Professionals,” and a columnist for Today’s Veterinary Business.

Stephanie Goss is a former practice manager who lives on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. With over 18 years of experience both on the floor and in the office, Stephanie is passionate about staff education, team culture, management and training. Stephanie loves to geek out about technology, especially Practice Management Software. She has experience as a practice manager in both private and corporate practices, ranging in size from one to seven doctors. She has experience as a consultant and trainer with AVImark software, paperlite/paperless transitions, practice management and staff training. Stephanie is currently the [insert made-up title here] for Uncharted Veterinary Conference. We are currently reorganizing and I don’t have a new title. Dr. Sura graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carry School of Business with a marketing focused MBA in 2019. She brings 30+ years of knowledge and breadth of experience resulting from serving in every position within a veterinary hospital, allowing her to provide essential business, technical, and educational support. Prior to joining Zoetis in 2021, Dr. Sura spent fifteen years practicing in hospitals as an associate veterinarian, private practice owner, and medical director over seeing three hospitals and for five years as a professional services veterinarian with various companies. Dr. Sura maintains her clinical connection when employed in industry by working as a relief veterinarian in both general practice and emergency medicine. While completing her DVM, Dr. Sura held a full-time position working in every clinical department of Tufts Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. This experience solidified the importance of quality diagnostics in practicing the best medicine possible for her patients. Dr. Sura’s passion in practice is education that increases efficiency and proficiency within the hospital and promotes service marketing to help drive better value to increase uptake of gold standard recommendations.
