Dr. Campbell attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in St. Paul, MN. Following earning her veterinary degree, Dr. Campbell completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, NC. She then returned to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed an internal medicine residency.

Dr. Campbell has a special interest in infectious diseases. When not caring for patients, she enjoys skiing and jogging.

Dr. Francis grew up in Little Rock, AR and attended the University of Arkansas before obtaining his DVM from LSU. He practiced companion animal medicine in the Dallas/Fort Worth. In October of 2017, Dr. Francis the Nestle Purina PetCare as a full-time veterinarian. In his role as Veterinary Communications Manager, he provides support for veterinary teaching hospitals throughout the Mid-West and Southeast and provides technical education support for surrounding veterinary schools and Purina’s veterinary sales division.

Dr. Francis has a special interest in veterinary nutrition. He loves working with veterinarians, veterinary students and clients to navigate the big questions of “What diet is right for my pet?”. He strongly believes that nutrition is one of the most important factors of wellness and therapeutic conditions in our pets.
Since being with Purina, Dr. Francis spent some time in Raleigh, NC before relocating to Nashville, where he currently resides. Dr. Francis maintains his clinical skills via relief work with a focus on nutrition, internal medicine and surgery.

She has taught avian and exotic animal medicine at both the University of Georgia and the University of Tennessee for over 30 years. She has held past leadership positions as AVMA Delegate, Chair of the AVMA Avian Working Group on the Panel of Euthanasia, Chair of the UT IACUC, and president of the Association of Avian Veterinarians. Currently she holds a position as a Laboratory Animal Veterinarian with the University of Georgia. Dr. Patrick Odenweller is a 2009 graduate of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was a general practitioner for over 4 years in Louisville, KY. He then pursued a residency in private practice for Dentistry and Oral Surgery. This was completed at the Center for Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He moved back to the Louisville area and started the dentistry service at Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists in 2016. He currently lives in Shelbyville with his wife, Sheena Odenweller, and his two sons, Lincoln and Maddox.

After graduating from the University of Glasgow Dr Robertson undertook specialized training in anesthesia and pain management. She is board certified in anesthesia and in animal welfare by the respective American and European Colleges and holds a certificate in small animal acupuncture. She is also a certified Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine Palliative and End-of-Life practitioner. She has completed her graduate certificate in Shelter Medicine at the University of Florida. She has worked in private practice and in academia and also served as an assistant director in the Animal Welfare Division of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Currently, she is the senior medical director of Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, a large network of veterinarians dedicated to end-of-life care. Megan Romano

Dr. Megan Romano began her veterinary career as a technician at the Animal Aid Society, a full service small animal spay/neuter clinic in Tallahassee, FL. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine with strong interests in equine surgery and shelter medicine and surgery. She moved to Kentucky for an internship in a world-class equine hospital. Since then, she has worked in equine and mixed-animal practices before deciding to pursue a residency in veterinary toxicology at the University of Kentucky Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (UKVDL). She passed her toxicology board examination in 2019 to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Toxicologists, and accepted a faculty position at UKVDL in March 2020. Dr. Romano’s daily activities include providing assistance with diagnostic cases in animals – identifying likely toxicants, deciding how best to test for suspected toxicants, interpreting results, and advising on current treatment recommendations. She remains passionate about shelter medicine and and has volunteered as a surgeon for spay/neuter programs. Recently, she traveled to Ukraine to assist with development and implementation of a program at a shelter in Irpin and is excited to go back and help again in the future.

Jennifer (Jenny) Wells, DVM, Diplomate, ACVIM (SAIM) is a Board-Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist and Medical Director at MedVet Cincinnati where she has been part of the medical team since 2011. Dr. Wells attended Texas A&M University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree graduating Magna Cum Laude. Following her graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Wells completed a yearlong internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver and a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. During her residency she studied urinary tract infections in dogs and researched why certain infections are resistant to many antibiotics.

Since becoming a board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Dr. Wells has authored scientific papers in veterinary publications, including the Journal of the Veterinary Medical Association (JAVMA) and Open Journal of Veterinary Medicine. She is also an active advocate of continued education for veterinary professionals and has lectured on small animal internal medicine topics including pericardial effusion, canine lymphoma, feline hepatic lipidosis, respiratory physiology, calcium homeostasis, and diabetes mellitus.

Dr. Wells maintains an interest in all aspects of small animal internal medicine with particular interests in liver disease, minimally invasive liver biopsy, feline ureteral obstruction, and critical care. She loves interacting with clients and improving the quality of life for her patients. When not treating patients, Dr. Wells loves the outdoors and traveling, especially when it involves some sort of adventure like bungee jumping, shark diving, glacier climbing and safaris.

Robyn Wilborn

Dr. Robyn Wilborn, a native of Elba, Alabama, received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn in 2002. After receiving her DVM, Dr. Wilborn moved to Wichita, Kansas where she entered private mixed animal practice. In 2005, she returned to Auburn to begin a residency in Theriogenology and enter a Master of Science program focused on reproduction, both of which she completed in 2008. In 2007 Dr. Wilborn became a Diplomate in the American College of Theriogenologists and has been a member of the Society for Theriogenology since 2005. Dr. Wilborn is currently a Professor of Theriogenology at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been involved in numerous academic presentations and has co-authored several publications. In 2018, she was elected to the role of President of the Society for Theriogenology (SFT). After spending 17 years dedicated to equine and small animal reproduction, Dr. Wilborn has a passion for training veterinary students and for providing quality, relevant CE topics for veterinarians. Dr. Wilborn and her husband Barney have three daughters ages 12, 11 and 8. In their spare time, which is pretty limited, they both enjoy water skiing and following Auburn football.
